If...

If you could be any type of cupcake, what flavour would you be?
I'd be a vegemite cupcake (which by the way, taste amazing) or a chilli-chocolate cupcake (which also taste amazing).
I wouldn't be one of those cupcakes from the school canteen, because they're too generic and they're popular. I don't want to be a popular cupcake. I want to be a cupcake that lives on the edge.
:D

Where is your (fall out)boy tonight?

Where is your boy tonight? I hope he is a gentleman.
Maybe he won't find out, what I know - you were the last good thing about this part of town :)

Double-Take!

Lately I've been tuning in to Top Gear because there's been so much hype over it and I thought I'd see what all the fuss was about. Not to mention the fact that there's a cute guy at school who likes Top Gear and I wanted something to talk to him about...
Anyway, It's a really entertaining show, and I didn't think I'd ever be interested in it, what with it being all about cars and all, but the hosts Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond are British, so it's to be expected that the show is amazing. They are hilarious, always making jokes about each other and doing whacky stunts ~ like that time Clarkson drove a tiny car through the Top Gear office! But what got me and my sister when we first started watching Top Gear was how much Richard Hammond looks like David Tennant. The resemblance is uncanny. Two of my favourite BBC personalities, and they look like they could be twins!

Here's David Tennant:

and here's Richard Hammond:

How freaky!!! And apparrently, I'm not the only one who has noticed the resemblance. When I googled "Richard Hammond David Tennant", this is what came up:

That's just too scary. Maybe David Tennant could be a guest on Top Gear one day? Oh wait, they already did that!.

These Girls...

"These are the kind of girls who hang dream catchers above their beds, who eat pomegranates and read old history books for fun. These are the kind of girls who take pictures of their hands with disposable cameras and wallpaper their bathrooms with pretty roses. These girls sketch eyes and mouths and little drawings all over things, they look you right in the eye and almost through you when you speak to them. These girls camp out in their backyards for fun, they light candles everywhere and if you visit them at home they usually have all sorts of animals. Their wardrobes are filled with silk robes and bows and hats, they drink tall glasses of milk and snack on chocolate while they watch the sun rise. These are the kind of girls who ride bikes through the city to the cinema that plays old movies in the middle of the day. They watch “Breakfast At Tiffany's” or “Rosemary's Baby”. These are the kind of girls who are quiet in public. They were the kind of girls who put too many marshmallows in their hot chocolate, and when the snow came down, lit the fire, and pretended to be in the North Pole. They would water colour things they couldn’t see, and eat French toast for lunch. These girls were the kind of girls who always believe in unicorns, they believed in the power of love and dreams. They were the kind of girls who gazed out of windows at bigger worlds, and rain made them think of faeries and tree houses. In the summer they read Jane Austen and listened to Fleetwood Mac while sipping hot tea. They told ghost stories under huge floral sheets, candles glowing below their faces. The spooky endings made them scream and laugh. They huddled together so they wouldn’t get too scared. These are the girls that didn’t need boys in their lives to achieve happiness."

I love this quote at the moment, even though it's bugging me that I can't figure out where it's from... If anyone knows, please leave me a little comment below... Mucho apreciĆ³, gracias :)

Almost Alice

So Tim Burton's take on the classic tale Alice in Wonderland has hit cinemas and caused such a hype - and for good reason too! It's such an amazing movie, great in 3D but probably just as great in 2D also. I loved it's whackyness and the way it was twisted to be unique.
What I love about this movie is how it has a long chain of merchandise - from jewellery and clothing to the absolutely amazing "Almost Alice" soundtrack. It's a compilation of songs by the hottest artists (mostly alternative and rock) that are inspired by the movie. They're not actually songs from the movie, but inspired by. There's artists such as All Time Low, Owl City, Metro Station, Plain White T's and even Robert Smith, lead singer of The Cure. There is a song for everyone, from the electronic "The Technicolour Phase" by Owl City to the oddball track "The Lobster Quadrille" by Franz Ferdinand.
Here's the track listing:

1. “Alice (Underground)” performed by Avril Lavigne
2. “The Poison” performed by The All-American Rejects
3. “The Technicolor Phase” performed by Owl City
4. “Her Name Is Alice” performed by Shinedown
5. “Painting Flowers” performed by All Time Low
6. “Where’s My Angel” performed by Metro Station
7. “Strange” performed by Tokio Hotel and Kerli
8. “Follow Me Down” performed by 3OH!3 featuring Neon Hitch
9. “Very Good Advice” performed by Robert Smith
10. “In Transit” performed by Mark Hoppus with Pete Wentz
11. “Welcome to Mystery” performed by Plain White T’s
12. “Tea Party” performed by Kerli
13. “The Lobster Quadrille” performed by Franz Ferdinand
14. “Running Out of Time” performed by Motion City Soundtrack
15. “Fell Down a Hole” performed by Wolfmother
16. “White Rabbit” performed by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals

Almost AliceIf you saw Pete Wentz's name and expected a Fall Out Boy sounding track, you'd be disappointed. It sound nothing like Fall Out Boy, but is a great song nonetheless. Avril has chosen a different direction for her song on this CD, with a more mellow sounding track, similar to her song on the Eragon Soundtrack. Metro Station, Wolfmother, 30H3!, All Time Low and Plain White T's fans will not be disappointed, the artists have delivered fantastic tracks that live up to the standards of their own albums. The All American Rejects have also done a slower, more ballad-like track, unlike their other hit songs such as "Gives You Hell" and "Dirty Little Secret".

All in all, a great album, definitely worth the money!

Rose Tyler

I am such a big fan of Doctor Who, and I love some of the things that Rose wears, especially the oufit she wears in Tooth and Claw.
She wears some really unique outfits, things out of the norm.
I have a denim playsuit, it's not a skirt but rather shorts, but it still looks pretty close to this one. I found this picture of a crown on the net and printed it out onto iron on paper. I got a plain pink tshirt from Supre and ironed it on. Add some tights and boots and you've got yourself an instant Rose Tyler outfit!

I also love Rose's outfit from Turn Left, The Stolen Earth and Journey's End. The cargo pants with the purple shirt and the Leather Jacket work really well together!

I write sins not tragedies

I love Panic! at the Disco, especially their first album, and I love the film clip for I Write Sins Not Tragedies. It inspired this Polyvore set that I made today. Check it out!

Polyvore is such a great site for putting together compositions of clothes, and it's great if you want to create your own individual style :) It's a site that's definitely worth a look.
